IHG One Rewards regularly runs promos in which you can buy points with up to a 100% bonus. If you get the 100% bonus offer, you can buy IHG points for 0.5 cents per point.
The current round of this promo runs through July 14, 2024.
The cap on how many points you can buy per year has also been increased from 150,000 to 250,000 points. With the 100% bonus, that means you can buy up to 500,000 IHG points.
Points Wire Note: I wouldn't buy IHG points if the bonus is below 100%. Additionally, the best time to buy points is for stays that would be significantly more expensive if you paid cash.
