Air Canada Aeroplan is launching an great promo to buy points with a 125% bonus. It's the highest bonus we've seen since November 2023. This promo will run from July 8 to July 11, 2024. After that, you'll be able to buy Aeroplan points with a 100% bonus from July 12 to July 19, 2024.
This promo is part of Air Canada's 40th anniversary celebration.
Yesterday, I shared a GHA Discovery promo for stays at Capella Hotels. Now, they've launched their first ever promo to buy discounted Discovery Dollars (D$).
For context, D$1 is worth US$1. While the simple structure doesn't offer arbitrage opportunities, the ability to buy D$ at a discount could be compelling - especially when you pair it with VIP perks.
The discount and purchase limit is set by status level.

Marriott Bonvoy and United MileagePlus have launched a dual promo in which select elite status holders can earn Marriott points on United flights and Untied miles on Marriott stays.

Hilton slowly rolled out a few SLH properties on their platform in the last month or so. However, they've now unveiled 390 SLH properties which are now bookable with Hilton points.

Generally, the Hilton award rates aren't particularly compelling although a 5th night free award could make it worth using points.

Many SLH properties can be booked with VIP perks via Virtuoso or SLH withIN. With these programs, you can get an upgrade on arrival (if available), daily breakfast for 2, a $100 property credit, etc. at many properties. When you factor in the benefits of booking a cash rate with benefits, the award rates start to be less intriguing in many cases.

Bilt just announced its next Rent Day promo and it's a good one! You can transfer Bilt points and get up to 100% bonus based on your Bilt status level. Bilt Gold and Platinum members will also be able to status match to Alaska.
Transfer Bonus By Bilt Status
You can transfer up to 50,000 Bilt Rewards points and receive the bonus. If you transfer more than 50,000 Bilt points during the promo, you will only receive the bonus on 50,000 even if you do multiple transfers. The transfer bonus ends at 2:59am ET on July 2.
Status Match
By transferring 10,000 Bilt points to Alaska Mileage Plan, the following Bilt members can receive Alaska status through December 31, 2024.

One Mile At A Time: "Plans have been announced for The Ilisian, which will be the name of a new luxury lifestyle destination in Athens, comprised of a hotel, residences, restaurants, a members’ club, and more. The development is expected to open in 2025 — as you might expect, it has been under construction for a couple of years, but the full concept has just been revealed."

Miles4Migrants is running a promotion with Air Canada in which you can earn 7,500 Aeroplan points for every $100 you donate up to 75,000 points. That means you're paying 1.33 cents per point. Not the best we've seen from Air Canada, but not bad. Plus, you get to support a good cause.
They've set a fundraising goal of $250,000 which I expect they'll hit pretty quickly. So, if you want to support Miles4Migrants and earn some Aeroplan points, I would do this sooner rather than later. The campaign ends December 31, 2024 unless they raise $250,000 before that.
Your Aeroplan points can take up to 8 weeks to post.
You can donate more if you'd like, but you can only earn a max of 75,000 points. Of course, you could get friends and family to donate as well.
The Sonesta World Mastercard is issued by Bank of America. While it's not a top priority card, it's always a good idea to keep an eye on niche cards that could come in handy as your progress in your points journey. As the bonus has been increased recently, let's take a look at it.
