I'd like to see more loyalty programs implement soft landings. Going from top tier to zero overnight is an easy way for a customer to cut ties immediately. With a soft landing at mid-tier, airlines and hotels can maintain the connection. On the airline side, British Airways does this so it's not unprecedented.
