Doctor of Credit: "The refer-a-friend bonus on the family of Chase INK cards is slated to change from the current 40,000 points per referral down to the old 20,000 points offer."
You'll now see the following language on your Chase Ink Card referral page: "As of 9/3/2024, you’ll no longer earn 40,000 bonus points for each business. Instead, you’ll earn 20,000 bonus points for each business, up to 10, that gets approved."
You'll still be able to earn up to 200,000 points via referrals per year.
Prince of Travel: "As of June 5, 2024, all Air Canada passengers travelling in economy will enjoy free premium snacks from its recent updated offerings, as well as complimentary beer and wine on domestic and transborder flights."
Chase has increased the sign-up bonus for two Southwest personal credit cards to 85,000 Rapid Rewards points. To earn the 85,000 bonus points, you'll need to spend $3,000 in 3 months.
The Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier Card bonus was not increased.
Points Wire Note: If you want to earn the Southwest Companion Pass, it's best to do so as early in the year as possible. That way you have the Companion Pass for the remainder of the year as well as the following calendar year. To earn the Companion Pass, you need to earn 135,000 points in a calendar year. If that's a priority, you might want to hold off on applying until later in the year.
For a limited time, Citi has increased the sign-up bonus for the Citi AAdvantage Executive Card to 100,000 American miles.

Frequent Miler: "We’re not sure how long this has been the case, but awards for travel on American Airlines are now bookable on the Cathay Pacific website. That’s a nice development because you can sometimes score a better deal with Cathay Pacific Asia Miles than via American Airlines themselves."
There's a targeted Chase Offer for Alaska Airlines. If you have the offer, you can get 10% back (up to $45 back) on a single Alaska Airlines purchase of at least $50. To max out the offer, you would need to make a purchase of $450.
Loyalty Lobby: "Choice has launched its Summer 2024 promotion, valid for stays between June 5 and August 5, 2024."
"Choice Privileges members earn at least 8,000 points for every two stays consumed during the promo period. You must register for this offer."
Nick from Frequent Miler flagged a useful stack for people who use a lot of LifeMiles.
"I tried my best to convince Greg to love Avianca LifeMiles. Just in time to teach him how powerful LifeMiles can be for his last-minute booking needs, Avianca LifeMiles has launched a 15% transfer bonus when transferring from Amex Membership Rewards points to Avianca LifeMiles."
"Those who subscribe to LifeMiles+ (or who got the Elite credit card for its free subscription) will enjoy a 10% rebate when redeeming — so the two can combine to make for a really good deal."
Doctor of Credit flagged a new promo for those with an Amex Personal Checking account.
If you have the offer, you can earn 4x Membership Rewards points for every $2 spent on your Amex debit card up to $1,500 in spend. The standard earn rate for the Amex debit card is 1x per $2 spent.
While this isn't a particularly impressive earn rate when you consider that the Amex Blue Business Plus and Citi Double Cash are no annual fee credit cards that earn 2x on everything, it's interesting to see an offer like this on a debit card.
American Express is out with a new Amex Offer for stays at Hilton All-Inclusive And Vacation Hotels. You can receive a $200 statement credit if you spend spend $1,000+ at participating properties in the Caribbean and Latin America by September 30, 2024.
